Our 2023-2024 Impact Report is here!

The HER Foundation is thrilled to share our 2023-2024 Impact Report with our community.  The past two years brought major breakthroughs in Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) research, expanded global awareness, and deepened support for families navigating this life-altering condition.

From publishing a pivotal study in Nature to hosting a global research conference and representing HG advocacy on the national stage, 2023-2024 were years of transformation. You’ll see how our team, through your support, has not only advanced understanding of HG but also shaped conversations at the highest levels—from the White House to international media.

The Impact Report contains stories of lives changed, barriers broken, and the momentum we’re carrying into our 25th year. We invite you to explore the full report and see the impact your support made possible.

Breakthrough Research Published in Nature Led by HER Research Director Dr. Marlena Fejzo, our pivotal study on GDF15 and its role in HG has opened doors to possible prevention and treatment. This work earned international acclaim and positioned Dr. Fejzo as a TIME Woman of the Year Honoree and a guest on the Today Show.

Global Reach: 2024 International Colloquium on HG  In November, we hosted the International Colloquium on HG in Ventura, CA, led by Dr. Aimee Brecht-Doscher, welcoming 107+ attendees from 15 countries. This offered important opportunities to share knowledge and foster collaboration on new research.

Educating Healthcare Providers
HER leaders shared expertise at key conferences, working toward our goal of empowering professionals with strategies and resources to improve patient outcomes.

Looking Ahead: 25 Years of HER
As we step into our 25th year in 2025, we’re expanding programs that directly support families affected by HG. Stay tuned for exciting updates!

Thank you for being part of this movement. With your support, we are making a profound difference in the lives of mothers and babies around the world.
